Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x and Below

Version 4.0 - Stop Asking to Change Default Browsers!

SUMMARY: Prevent Internet Explorer from asking to be your default web browser.

If you frequently switch between IE, Netscape, and possibly other browsers, or if you frequently install browser updates, you may get tired of IE always asking you whether or not you would like it to be the default browser. To stop this check, click the "View" menu and select "Internet Options". On the multi-tabbed "Internet Options" dialog box that appears, select the "Programs" tab. Uncheck "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" and press "OK" to close the dialog box.
