Look up IP Addresses

SUMMARY: Look up information about an IP address on your iGoogle page, displaying the host name.

If you frequently need to look up more information about particular IP addresses, such as when diagnosing networking problems or trying to determine where an unsolicited e-mail actually originated, you may find the IP Address Lookup gadget for iGoogle useful.

Without leaving your iGoogle home page you can enter an IP address and click the "Lookup" button. The gadget then displays the host name, in some cases the host country, and links to where you can find more information about the IP address if necessary.

Note that this gadget is very picky - when pasting IP addresses into the tool do not have any spaces before or after the address or it will fail.
