Internet Explorer 7 Misc - Find Text in the Current Page

SUMMARY: Search for desired text in the current webpage. Also perform case-sensitive and whole word only searches.

When viewing search engine query results, you might come across a webpage that, at first glance, does not seem to contain your desired search term.

If you're unable to find desired text in a particular webpage, Internet Explorer 7 has a "Find" dialog box you can open to search for text. To open it, either:

A. Click on the Search Options button - it is the pull-down next to the magnifying glass located to the right of the search box. Choose "Find on this Page".

B. Select "Edit" - "Find on this Page". (no menu bar in Internet Explorer 7?)

C. Press Ctrl-F.

Type in the text you want to find and click "Next", or press Enter, to find the text in the page.

* Clicking "Previous" cycles through previous matching text.

* Click "Match case" for case-sensitive searches.

* Click "Match whole word only" for whole-word searches, so searching for Read will not find Reader.
