SUMMARY: Turn Internet Explorer 7's smooth scrolling on or off.
Depending on your configuration, when you scroll through long webpages in Internet Explorer 7, the scrolling may appear smooth or jerky. Some prefer the look of smooth scrolling; others prefer the slightly faster scrolling speed when this feature is turned off.
1. Click on the "Tools" button in the toolbar, selecting "Internet Options".
2. When the "Internet Options" dialog box appears, select the "Advanced" tab.
3. Underneath "Browsing", check or uncheck "Use smooth scrolling" as desired.
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
Note that if smooth scrolling does not work even when this option has been enabled, you may need to update your video card drivers.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Internet Explorer 7 Misc - Toggle Smooth Scrolling
