Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 - View a Map of a Selected Address with Live Search Maps

SUMMARY: Highlight an address in Internet Explorer 8 and quickly view a map with Microsoft's mapping tool via an Accelerator.

While surfing the web, have you ever come across a webpage containing an address that wasn't a hyperlink to a mapping service? If so you've previously had to copy the address, visit a mapping service, then paste the address into a query box, and then hit a "Submit" or "Search" button.

With Internet Explorer 8 you can save a few steps. With its new Accelerator tool you can simply highlight a full address on a web page, click the Blue accelerator button, and then hover your mouse pointer over "Map with Live Search".

By hovering your mouse pointer over this option, a miniature map will appear next to the popup menu. If you'd rather display a full webpage with this map, click the menu item instead.
