While browsing websites with Internet Explorer 8, have you ever come across a stock symbol or company name referenced in the text and wanted to display its full quote and other related information?

Instead of copying the company name or symbol and pasting it into a financial website, simply select text from Internet Explorer and access MSN MoneyCentral for a quote and other information via an Accelerator.

1. From Internet Explorer, visit the following URL:

http://www.ieaddons.com/en/details/finance/Get_Stock_Quote/

2. Click the "Add to Internet Explorer" button.

3. Confirm the Accelerator information is correct then click the "Add" button.

Now when you visit a webpage containing a company name or stock symbol and you want more information, highlight the text with your mouse. Click the Blue accelerator button, select "All Accelerators", then "Get Stock Quote on MSN".

MSN MoneyCentral will open in a new tab, either displaying the stock quote if you highlighted a quote, or allowing you to pick from matching quotes if you highlighted a company name.

If you want, this Accelerator can be made easier to use by configuring it to be a default:

1. Right-click a blank area of a webpage.

2. Choose "All Accelerators" - "Manage Accelerators".

3. The "Manage Add-ons" dialog box appears. Scroll down to the "Quote" section and click "Get Stock Quote on MSN".

4. Click the "Set as default" button.

5. Click the "Close" button to save your settings.

Now you can select text, click the Blue accelerator button, and then immediately select "Get Stock Quote on MSN".
