SUMMARY: Display financial information for a company mentioned in a webpage by highlighting it and using an Internet Explorer 8 Accelerator.
While accessing the web via Internet Explorer 8, you may come across a company name and want to display more information about the entity, such as its stock price.
You could copy the company name or symbol and paste it into a financial website or use a search engine. Or, simply select the name/symbol from Internet Explorer and access Yahoo! Finance for a quote and other information via an Accelerator.
1. From Internet Explorer, visit the following URL:

2. Click the "Add to Internet Explorer" button.

3. Confirm the Accelerator information is correct. If you want this to be the default Accelerator for the "Find" category, meaning you do not have to go through a second step of accessing an "All Accelerators" submenu, click the "Make this my default provider for this Accelerator Category" box. Then click the "Add" button.

Now when you visit a webpage containing a company name or stock symbol and you want more information, highlight the text with your mouse. Click the Blue accelerator button, then "Search Yahoo! Finance". Note that if you did not make this the default accelerator for the category, you'll need to first select "All Accelerators", then "Search Yahoo! Finance".
Yahoo! Finance will open in a new tab, displaying matching company information as well as stock quotes. Click on a symbol for more information about the company including headlines, related financial blog posts, and reports, if applicable.
