While browsing the web have you ever come across a person, song, TV show, or other topic and wished to see if YouTube had any related videos? Normally you would have to highlight the webpage text, copy the text, visit YouTube, paste the text, and then click the "Search" button. With Internet Explorer 8, however, there's an easier way through the use of an Accelerator.

1. From Internet Explorer 8, visit the following URL:

http://www.ieaddons.com/en/details/photosvideos/Youtube_Search/

2. Click the "Add to Internet Explorer" button.

3. Confirm the Accelerator information is correct then click the "Add" button.

Now when you visit a webpage containing text and you wish to see if YouTube has matching videos, highlight the text with your mouse. Click the blue Accelerator button, select "All Accelerators", and then select "Search Youtube". Note that if you hover your mouse over "Search Youtube" a preview of the results page will appear next to the popup menu.

A new tab will open inside Internet Explorer 8, showing related videos to your selected text.

You can set YouTube to be your default Videos Accelerator, reducing a step from the above.

1. Right-click a blank area of a webpage.

2. Choose "All Accelerators" - "Manage Accelerators".

3. The "Manage Add-ons" dialog box appears. Scroll down to the "Videos" section and click "Search Youtube".

4. Click the "Set as default" button.

5. Click the "Close" button to save your settings.

Now you can select text and click the blue Accelerator button, then immediately select "Search Youtube".
