Internet Explorer 6 Miscellaneous - Stop Asking to Change Browsers

SUMMARY: Keep Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 from always asking to be the default browser.

If you frequently switch between Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, Netscape, Mozilla, Opera, and possibly other browsers, you may get tired of Internet Explorer always asking you whether or not you would like it to be the default browser. To stop this prompt from appearing, from within Internet Explorer click the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options". On the multi-tabbed "Internet Options" dialog box that appears, select the "Programs" tab. Uncheck "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" and press "OK" to close the dialog box.
