Internet Explorer 6 and Pictures - Remove the Image Toolbar

When viewing certain images with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, a toolbar may appear at the top-left of the image with buttons to save, print, or email the image, or open your "My Pictures" folder. If you don't normally manipulate images found on the web, this toolbar may be a nuisance. To disable it:

1. Open Internet Explorer 6.
2. Choose "Tools" then "Internet Options".
3. When the "Internet Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select the "Advanced" tab.
4. Scroll down to "Multimedia".
5. Uncheck "Enable image toolbar (Requires restart)".
6. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
7. Restart Internet Explorer 6.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Internet Explorer 6 and Pictures - Remove the Image Toolbar
