Internet Explorer 6 Privacy and Cookies

Prevent Cookies By Site

SUMMARY: Keep certain websites from setting cookies on your machine.

Are you concerned about a particular website setting cookies on your machine? You can prevent websites, by domain, from setting cookies on your machine by doing the following from within Internet Explorer 6.

1. Choose "Tools" - "Internet Options".
2. From the "Internet Options" multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, select the "Privacy" tab.
3. Click the "Edit" button next to "To Override cookie handling for individual web sites€"
4. Type in a domain and press the "Block" button to prevent that domain from setting cookies on your machine.
5. Press "OK" and close both dialog boxes when done.
