SUMMARY: Quickly modify the Internet Explorer 6 security properties

Instead of navigating menus and dialog boxes to get to the Internet Explorer 6 Security Properties, if your status bar is visible (the bar on the bottom of the IE window), find the icon labeled "My Computer", "Internet", "Local Intranet", "Trusted Sites", or "Restricted Site" on the right side of the status bar. Double-click the icon (or the label) and you will be taken to the Internet Security Properties dialog box.
