SUMMARY: Prevent Internet Explorer 6 with Windows XP Service Pack 2 from annoying you with text every time it blocks a pop-up window.
Normally, whenever Internet Explorer 6 blocks a pop-up window, an Information Bar appears letting you know the pop-up window was blocked. Clicking the Information Bar provides access to pop-up blocker settings as well as an option to allow the current site only to show pop-up windows. If you'd rather not have this appear every time your web browser has blocked a pop-up window, do the following:
1. From Internet Explorer 6, Click "Tools".
2. Select "Pop-Up Blocker".
3. Select "Pop-up Blocker Settings".
4. When the "Pop-up Blocker Settings" dialog box appears, uncheck "Show Information Bar when a pop-up is blocked".
5. Press "Close" to close the dialog box.
