SUMMARY: Enable or disable the Internet Explorer 7 menu bar, providing convenient access to browser functionality.
As the above image shows, Internet Explorer 7 can be configured to display a menu bar.
Depending on your configuration, Internet Explorer 7 may display a toolbar with menu items "File", "Edit", "View", "Favorites", "Tools", and "Help". These menu items perform similarly to previous versions of Internet Explorer, giving you access to your Favorites, browser customization features, webpage printing options, etc.
Most of the frequently-used functions in the menu bar have been moved to other locations in Internet Explorer 7, or in some cases the functionality can be found by right-clicking certain buttons. Some users, however, would rather display this menu bar, finding it more convenient to access Internet Explorer 7 options this way.
To toggle the menu bar on or off:
1. Right-click an empty area in the tab bar (next to one of your tabs).
2. Check or uncheck "Menu Bar" as desired.
Are Internet Explorer 7's Menu Bar and Links options grayed out?
