SUMMARY: Toggle whether or not https pages can be saved to disk for future reference by Internet Explorer 7.
In Internet Explorer 7, by clicking the "Page" icon and choosing "File" - "Save As", you can save a copy of the current webpage to disk for future reading.
Depending on your system configuration, you may even be able to save copies of encrypted webpages to disk (webpages that start with https:// instead of http:// ).
Why do this? - Save copies of order forms or transaction histories for later, or offline, viewing.
Why not do this? - You might accidentally save pages containing private information such as your credit card number. You don't want to accidentally copy these files to unsecured locations, and if others have access to your computer they may be able to read this information.
To toggle this setting:
1. Click the "Tools" menu selecting "Internet Options".
2. When the multi-tabbed "Internet Options" dialog box appears, click the "Advanced" tab.
3. Scroll down to "Security".
4. Check or uncheck "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" as desired.
5. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
