SUMMARY: Automatically open a website in kiosk mode inside Internet Explorer 7 from the "Start" menu or via a shortcut.
While you can enable full-screen mode inside Internet Explorer 7, what if you would like to start it up automatically in kiosk mode? There are several ways to do so:
1. Click the "Start" button, selecting "Run" if you are using Windows XP.
2. Type in a command in the following format:
iexplore -k WEBSITE
For example:
iexplore -k http://malektips.com/
and press OK.
3. If desired, create a new shortcut on the desktop using a command line with the above syntax.
Internet Explorer 7 will open the selected website in full-screen mode. Note that keyboard shortcuts will still work and you can still right-click a link to open it in a new window.
When done, press ALT-F4 to close Internet Explorer 7.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Internet Explorer 7 Misc - Start Internet Explorer 7 in Kiosk Mode
