Toggle Playing Sounds When RSS Feeds Are Found SUMMARY: Toggle whether Internet Explorer 7 plays a sound when it finds feeds related to the current webpage. When Internet Explorer 7 finds an RSS feed associated with the current webpage, it displays a feeds button in the toolbar.
However, if you don't know to look for this button, you might miss the fact that the current page has an associated RSS feed. Thus, Internet Explorer 7 can also play a sound whenever a feed is found.
To toggle this behavior:
1. Click on the "Tools" button in the toolbar, selecting "Internet Options".
2. When the "Internet Options" dialog box appears, select the "Content" tab.
3. Underneath "Feeds", click the "Settings" button.
