SUMMARY: Stop backtracking to a search results page and open pages in new browser windows or tabs.
When I search for webpages, after getting a list of matching sites from a search engine, I like to explore the found sites by opening them in new windows. This can be done by right-clicking on links and choosing "Open in New Window", or for Macs, hitting the Option button which clicking on links and choosing the same. If you use a tabbed-based browser, such as Firefox, you may instead want to open links in new tabs.
The benefit to doing this - once I am done looking at a found page, I can close that browser window, and instead of having to go back to the search engine, type in the query, wait for the results, etc., the results are already available in front of me in a different window. What a time saver!
