Define Words Using Multiple Dictionaries

SUMMARY: Use Google's dictionary feature to find multiple definitions for a word.

If you want several definitions for a word, instead of visiting several Internet-based dictionaries, you can submit a search query to Google in the format

define:WORD

This will return several definitions of said word from selected sites on the Internet.

For example, if you have ever heard the term "megapixel" when it comes to digital cameras but don't really know what the word means, just enter the following Google query:

define:megapixel

At the time this tip was written, you'd receive over one dozen definitions for the word 'megapixel'.
