Google Search Engine - Search for one Word/Phrase OR Another

SUMMARY: Use Google's OR operator to search for websites containing one of a selection of phrases.

By default, when you search for multiple words or phrases in Google, the search engine tries to find web pages that contain all of the listed words or phrases. However, what if you need web pages that contain one word/phrase or another, and not necessarily both?

Use the OR operator between your words or phrases to look for websites matching either of your words or phrases.

Examples:

Display information about either game show: jeopardy OR "wheel of fortune"

Search for information about either NBA team: bulls OR knicks

Find information about either TV show: lost OR "desperate housewives"
