iPhone - iPod Touch
Enabling and Using the Caps Lock Feature
SUMMARY: Double-press the arrow on the virtual keyboard to enable Caps Lock. And if this does not work for you, learn how to enable this feature.
At times you may need to type text on your iPhone or iPod Touch in all caps (but please do not e-mail people in all caps as it is considered shouting). While you can keep one finger on the arrow button to type in all capital letters, this is inconvenient if you type with both hands.
By enabling a Caps Lock function you can quickly double-click the arrow, turning it blue. From here all letters you type are automatically capitalized. Pressing the arrow button again turns this off. If this feature is not enabled on your device, the following should do the trick:
1. Access the "Settings" utility / app.
2. From the main "Settings" screen, click "General".
3. From the "General" screen, swipe down and click "Keyboard".
4. Next to "Enable Caps Lock", click on "OFF" to toggle the setting to "ON".
