Skip the Recycle Bin when Deleting Files from IrfanView

SUMMARY: When confirming to remove images via IrfanView, skip the Recycle Bin and just delete the files.

By default, if you delete a file from within IrfanView by pressing the Del key or selecting File - Delete File, IrfanView asks if you want to move the file to the Recycle Bin. While many people appreciate this feature, when others choose to delete files, they want them permanently removed. Thus, to toggle this behavior:

1. From IrfanView, choose "Options" - "Properties".

2. When the "Properties/Settings" dialog box appears, select "File Handling".

3. Underneath "Delete", uncheck "Delete to Recycle Bin".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
