Add or Remove IrfanView Option in 'Send To' Menu

SUMMARY: Easily display images in IrfanView from Windows Explorer even if you do not set up file associations. Or, remove IrfanView from the "Send To" Menu.

When you right-click on a file in Windows Explorer, you have the option of choosing the "Send To" menu allowing you to open or send files with various software packages. If desired, you can add an option for IrfanView in this menu so you can view/edit images with this application.

Conversely, you may have IrfanView in this menu and wish to remove it. This tip explains how to do both:

Accessing IrfanView via the Explorer right-click Send To menu

1. From IrfanView, choose "Options" - "Properties".

2. When the "Properties/Settings" dialog box appears, select "Extensions".

3. Underneath "Shell options", check or uncheck "Add IrfanView to "Send To" shell menu" as desired.

4. Click "OK" to save your changes.
