IrfanView 3 - View an Image's Raw Hex Information

SUMMARY: Display comments and other information hidden in certain image files with IrfanView.

It may be beneficial at times to view raw image information as a hex file, perhaps if you need to diagnose a faulty image that will not view correctly, or if you want to examine an image file for comments. This can be done directly inside IrfanView.

1. First, load an image into IrfanView.

2. Select "View - Show HEX View" or press F3.

3. A hexadecimal representation of the currently-loaded image will appear in a new window. If desired, you can choose "File" - "Open" to load a new image into the hex viewer without modifying the currently-open image in IrfanView.
