Freeware to Snoop Through JPG Photos, Determine if They Are Fakes
SUMMARY: JPEGsnoop for Windows can display EXIF and other data about JPGs, and can help determine if photos are originals or have been edited.
The freeware JPEGsnoop for Windows can tell you more about your JPG photos than you ever thought possible. Besides displaying EXIF metadata, the software can compare details of your images against a database of camera signatures, making a determination on whether or not the photos are originals or edited.
Do you have JPG photos that will not display correctly? JPEGsnoop may be able to at least determine where in the files contain errors. Other features include extracting thumbnail images, extracting JPG images from PDF documents, and determining photo quality. Batch processing is available.
This software runs on Windows XP and above, and may run on older versions, according to the author. No installation is necessary. For more information and to download:
