SUMMARY: Lightscreen is a screen capture program for Windows with output support for BMP, JPG, and PNG formats.
Lightscreen is an open-source screen capture program for Windows that stores captured images on your hard drive in BMP, JPG, or PNG format. The software can be accessed via the System Tray area of the Windows Taskbar (customizable), or via customizable hotkeys. Screen, window, and screen area captures are available.
Screen captures can perform silently, or you can display a popup balloon and/or play a "snapshot" sound. Advanced options include capturing the cursor, placing captured images in the clipboard, and optimizing PNG screenshot outputs.
Lightscreen can be downloaded at the following address, or you can also download a portable version. Note that the portable version cannot be set to run at Windows startup.
