McAfee AntiSpyware

Restore an Item Accidentally Removed

SUMMARY: Recover programs and settings accidentally changed by McAfee AntiSpyware.

After performing a scan with McAfee AntiSpyware, you might have accidentally removed an item that you realize later should not have been removed. Perhaps the found 'malware' was a false alarm, or perhaps an item is needed for another particular software package to run, such as a music sharing software package. In either case, you can restore items that McAfee AntiSpyware has previously removed.

1. From McAfee AntiSpyware, click the hyperlinked text next to "Restore programs".

2. A list of found programs, if any, is shown in a new dialog box. To restore a program, click a highlighted program then the "Restore" button. Follow on-screen prompts as needed.

3. When done, click 'OK' to close the dialog box.
