SUMMARY: Force Windows Media Player 12 to display on top of other windows when in its "Now Playing" mode.
If desired, you can have Windows Media Player 12, when in the "Now Playing" mode, appear on top of all other windows. This way you can continue to view album art or the visualization even when working in other applications that may attempt to cover up the window.
To configure this behavior, do the following:
Windows Media Player 12 appearing on top of an Explorer window
1. In "Library" view, click the "Organize" button, selecting "Options".
2. The "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears. Click the "Player" tab.
3. Underneath "Player Settings", check "Keep Now Playing on top of other windows" to enable this behavior. Uncheck this box to disable this. Note that the Windows Media Player 12 "Options" dialog box will cover up the "Now Playing" window.
4. Click "OK" to save your settings.
OR
When in the "Now Playing" view, right-click the Media Player window and check "Always show Now Playing on top".
