Summary: Prevent gridlines from appearing on selected Excel 2003 spreadsheets.
While gridlines may make it easier to know exactly where to enter values into a Microsoft Excel 2003 spreadsheet, if a spreadsheet already has well-defined borders around cells where values should be placed, gridlines can actually make the visual display confusing. Thus, you can disable gridlines for a particular spreadsheet.
1. Click "Tools" - "Options".
2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "View" tab.
3. Uncheck "Gridlines" underneath "Window options".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
