Tired of tangled mouse cords that degrade its responsiveness? You may want to consider going wireless. A good wireless mouse can be more responsive, lack the cords that can get older mice stuck, and contain newer features such as horizontal scrolling and extra mouse buttons for common tasks.

A wireless mouse works by communicating via radio waves to a central receiver that you plug into your computer's serial or USB port. The wireless mouse gets its power usually by one or two batteries. Depending on the wireless mouse, it may or may not need a direct line-of-sight to the receiver.
