Microsoft Word 97 - Even Quicker Pasting

If you do not commonly use the INS key to switch between insert and overwrite mode (where what you type overwrites what is currently at the cursor), you can turn the INS key into a paste from clipboard command. Just choose the "Tools" menu, then "Options." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, click the "Edit" tab. Now, check "Use the INS Key for Paste" and close the dialog box. Whenever you press the INS key, the contents of the clipboard will immediately be pasted into the current document.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft Word 97 - Even Quicker Pasting.
