If you have added line numbers in a Word 97 document, there will probably be occurrences where you want some text in the document to stand out without line numbers. Don't go through the menus to remove line numbers from a particular section of text.
1. Highlight the text from which you want to remove numbering.
2. Right-click the text and choose "Paragraph" from the popup menu that appears.
3. On the multi-tabbed dialog box that follows, select the "Line and Page Breaks" tab.
4. Now, uncheck "Suppress Line Numbers".
5. Press "OK" to close the dialog box.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then,
return to Microsoft Word 97 - Removing Line Numbers From One Paragraph or Two.
