Is Microsoft Word 2000 crashing a lot, especially after installing a new application? If so, a newer application may have overwritten some files Word needs to operate. You may want to try having Word repair itself and see if the problems go away.
To have Word try to repair itself, first save and exit all active documents. Choose the "Help" menu and select "Detect and Repair". Read the dialog box, and if all is ok, click the "Start" button.
