Netscape

Navigator V4.0 - Search through your history

Pressing CONTROL+H brings up the history menu, letting you see what pages you have recently viewed. If you haven't cleared this in a while, it can get rather long. If you remember a page name, or part of an URL, and you want to look for a certain page, press CONTROL+F while in the "History" window. A "Search History List" window will appear where you can search your viewing history by title, visit count, location of the webpage, or other factors.

The page defaults to searching for specific page titles. Just click on the pulldown arrow next to "Title," and you can search by other means. Click on the pulldown arrow next to "Contains" for other searching options once you've chosen how you want to search (by title, location, visit count, etc). Click the "Search" button to start your search.

Once you've done a search, you can just double-click one of the results to view the desired page.
