Microsoft Office 2003

Turn Off Personalized Menus

SUMMARY: Gain access to all the available Microsoft Office 2003 menus.

When using Microsoft Office 2003 applications such as Microsoft Word 2003 and Microsoft Excel 2003, you may have noticed that the menus only show a few frequently used commands; you have to click on arrows to show the full list of menu items. While this may be a good idea for beginners, if you want Office 2003 applications to show all menu items all the time, do the following:

1. From any Microsoft Office 2003 application, choose "Tools" then "Customize".

2. When the "Customize" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select "Options".

3. Check "Always show full menus".

4. Click the "Close" button.

Note that changing this option affects all currently installed Microsoft Office 2003 applications.
