Do you know your lanthanoids from your actinoids? What about ununbium versus ununtrium?
Webelements, "the periodic table on the web", offers an extensive amount of information about all of the elements, including basic background information on each element and, in some instances, the history behind their formation. You'll find element uses (such as hydrogen in rocket fuel and silicon that's very important to what you're typing on), element photographs, crystal structures, compounds of elements, and much more.
There's also a store where you can purchase a periodic table poster, a card game, socks, shirts, mouse mats, mugs, ties (a real conversation-starter at parties), and samples of particular elements.
(MalekTips has information on another website where you can purchase even more element samples.)
