Opera

Show or Hide the Menu Bar

SUMMARY: Toggle whether or not Opera should show the new Opera menu button or the standard menu bar.

Similar to the style of other web browsers, newer versions of Opera eschew the standard menu bar in favor of the Opera menu button, showing frequently-used functions in a more compact way to save space.

If you'd rather see the full menu bar instead, do the following. Below that are instructions if your copy of Opera is showing the menu bar and you want to save space by showing the button.

1. Click the Opera "Menu" button at the top-left of the browser window.

2. Near the bottom of the pop-up menu, click "Show Menu Bar".

To reverse this procedure:

1. Click the "File" menu.

2. Uncheck "Show Menu Bar".
