Opera 8 - Disable the Home Page

SUMMARY: Prevent Opera 8 from automatically loading a home page every time it starts.

By default, when you start Opera 8, it will run with a home page of the Opera portal. If you'd rather have Opera 8 start with no home page at all, perform this tweak:

1. Choose "Tools", selecting "Preferences".
2. When the "Preferences" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "General" tab.
3. Next to "Startup", click the pull-down and choose "Start with no pages".
4. Click "OK" to save your settings.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Opera 8 - Disable the Home Page
