This tip was printed from the MalekTips Computer and Technology Help and Tips website at http://malektips.com. Opera 8 - Remove Web Page History for PrivacySUMMARY: Increase your privacy when browsing the web with Opera 8 - eliminate website history tracking.
By default, Opera remembers the last 200 web addresses that you enter. This way, when you retype web addresses, if Opera sees you keying in an address and thinks it knows of a potential match, it will show it to you to potentially save you typing. Also, Opera keeps a separate history of the last 500 visited web addresses so that if you frequently visit the same sites, you can press CONTROL-ALT-H to quickly retrieve a recently-visited URL without typing. |
