Opera 8

Hide Images While a Site is Loading

SUMMARY: Is a webpage taking too long to display due to large images loading? Stop this with Opera 8.

While Opera 8 has an option for dial-up users to prevent all websites from showing images, many people may not wish to turn this on for all sites. Some website pictures and photos are desired, and many websites make use of images for navigation elements.

If, however, a particular website is taking forever to load, you can disable loading images for the current site only, allowing future websites to show images. Just choose "View" - "Images" - "No Images", or "View" - "Images" - "Cached Images" to only show the images that have already downloaded to your computer.
