SUMMARY: Prevent Opera 8 from announcing that its pop-up blocker works. Let it block pop-ups silently.
Opera 8 comes built-in with a pop-up window blocker. It wants you to know this because every time it blocks a pop-up window, a small notification is shown in the top-right of the Opera 8 window. If you'd rather have Opera block pop-up windows silently, here is how you can disable the notification:
1. Select "Tools" - "Preferences".
2. When the "Preferences" dialog box appears, click the "Advanced" tab.
3. In the left side of the window, click "Notifications".
4. In the right side of the window, uncheck "Show notification for blocked pop-ups".
5. Click "OK" to save your settings.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Opera 8 - Stop Notifying Me When Pop-Up Windows are Blocked
