Keep Meeting Requests from Being Deleted

SUMMARY: File your Microsoft Outlook 2003 meeting requests instead of automatically deleting them.

Normally, after you respond to a meeting request, Outlook 2003 sends the original request to the Deleted Items folder. There may be instances where you do not wish this to be the case - perhaps you need to file these requests to a folder for reporting reasons?

To keep meeting requests from ending up as trash:

1. Click "Tools" and select "Options".
2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select the "Preferences" tab.
3. Click the button "E-Mail Options".
4. When the "E-Mail Options" dialog box appears, click the button "Advanced E-Mail Options".
5. Uncheck "Delete meeting request from Inbox when responding".
6. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
