Outlook 2003 Calendar and Meeting

Change the Reminder Sound

SUMMARY: Change the sound Outlook 2003 plays when it reminds you of an upcoming meeting or appointment.

Tired of the same sound Outlook 2003 plays whenever an appointment is near? To have Outlook 2003 play a different sound file whenever an appointment reminder appears, do the following:

1. Click "Tools" and select "Options".

2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select the "Other" tab.

3. Click the "Advanced Options" button.

4. When the "Advanced Options" dialog box appears, click the "Reminder Options" button.

5. When the "Reminder Options" dialog box appears, ensure "Play Reminder Sound" is checked.

6. Click the "Browse" button and choose your desired WAV file. Either download sounds off the Internet or create them yourself, or you may want to browse your C:\WINDOWS\MEDIA directory for sample sounds.

7. Press "OK" to close the dialog box.
