PeaZip for Linux and Windows Creates and Extracts Multiple Archive Types
SUMMARY: PeaZip can create and extract multiple archive types, supporting self-extracting archives and ZIP encryption.
PeaZip is an open-source zip and unzip package for Linux and Windows. Besides creating ZIP archives, PeaZip can also create .BZ2, .GZ, .TAR, and other formats, and it reads dozens more types including .ARJ, .ISO, .RAR, and .RPM. PeaZip supports many interface languages including Chinese, English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
Features include drag-and-drop support, previewing files inside archives with a customizable list of applications, bookmarking frequently-used archives for easier later access, testing archives, and accessing System Tools. The interface graphics and colors can be modified.
When creating archives, many options exist depending on the archive type. These may include modifying the archive compression level, creating spanned archives to fit files on external media, and encrypting the contents. You can also create self-extracting archives.
