Find Information about People on the Deep Web with Pipl

SUMMARY: Pipl searches the "Deep Web" for information on a particular person.

While various people search and white pages services exist, if you're trying to find an old coworker, friend, or family member, you may want to consider Pipl, which claims to be "the most comprehensive people search on the web".

Pipl searches the "deep web", content that may not be indexed by search engines. Besides pulling results from Google, a Pipl search might turn up results from Amazon, Bebo, birthday records searches, Flickr, MySpace, Twitter, ZoomInfo, and a variety of other sources. Results are split into categories such as blog posts, contact details, professional and business, profiles, photos, publications, quick facts, and web pages.

Besides searching for a person, you can also look for references to an e-mail address, screen name / username, or phone number. And while the site does offer a surprising number of results during a name search, unfortunately the city and state filters do not seem to work too well, as I noted in several searches where I tried to perform limits to people I knew in California and Tennessee (and for some sources these filters may not be possible). However, by investigating the sometimes large number of results you might find the person for whom you are looking.
