PestPatrol - Remove Sounds

SUMMARY: Mute PestPatrol whenever it wants to warn you of found malware or a finished scan.

The PestPatrol spyware / adware scanner and removal tool plays sounds for the following reasons:

1) Malware is detected.
2) A scan is done.

If you are in an office environment, these sounds may annoy others. Or, you may just decide you do not want audio confirmation whenever PestPatrol performs a task. To turn off the sounds from within PestPatrol:

1. Click the "Options" tab.
2. Click the "Interface" sub-tab.
3. Underneath "Sounds", uncheck "Alarm on detection" and "Play done sound".

 

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to PestPatrol - Remove Sounds
