| Be Awake, Alert, and Smiling SUMMARY: Smile, and hopefully your subject will smile with you. When taking formal digital portraits (such as for profit), note that your attitude may affect your subject. If you show fatigue, your subject may think you are bored or just not happy with your work. Show frustration or confusion when working your digital camera's controls, and your subject may get the impression you don't know what you are doing.
Smile, be cheerful and effervescent, and your good mood may then be reflected on your subject, resulting in a more pleasing picture.
