SUMMARY: Prevent PowerPoint 2007 from keeping and showing a list of the most recently-accessed presentation files.
By default, when you click on the Office button, Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 displays a list of the most recently-accessed presentations. This way you can quickly return to presentation files that you access frequently.
However, for privacy reasons you may wish this list to be disabled. Doing so requires a simple tweak:
1. Click the "Office" button.
2. When the popup appears, click "PowerPoint Options".
3. The "PowerPoint Options" dialog box appears. Select "Advanced" in the left pane.
4. In the right pane, underneath "Display", you should see a textbox next to "Show this number of Recent Documents". Enter 0 in the box.
5. Click "OK" on the dialog box to close it.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 - Disable List of Recently Opened Presentations
