PowerPoint 2003 - Misc - Add Frames to Printed Slides

SUMMARY: Place borders around printed slides in PowerPoint 2003.

Though you may not want to add a box, or frame, around your slides when viewing them onscreen, they may look better on paper with a border. This is especially true if you use the "Handouts" feature, printing 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 9 slides on each page.

Instead of temporarily drawing boxes around each frame before printout, then deleting the boxes afterwards when you want to view the presentation onscreen, Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 has a feature that lets you add borders that display only on the hard copy.

1. Choose "File" - "Print".

2. Near the bottom of the dialog box, check "Frame slides".

3. Change any other settings as necessary, including selecting the "Handouts" feature underneath "Print what" to print multiple slides per page, and then click "OK" to print your presentation.
