Insert Automatically Updated Time and Date on Each Slide

SUMMARY: Keep your Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentations looking up-to-date.

Are you a road-warrior, frequently showing the same Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentation to several groups? If so, you may wish to show the current date and time on the presentation to make it seem timelier to your audience. To do so:

1. Click "Insert" - "Date and Time".

2. When the "Header and Footer" dialog box appears, click the "Slide" tab.

3. "Date and time" should be checked.

4. Click the "Update automatically" radio button.

5. Underneath "Update automatically", click the pull-down to choose your desired date and time format.

6. If you wish, check "Don't show on title slide" to prevent the date and time from appearing on the title slide.

7. Click "Apply to All"

The date and time will update whenever you reload the PowerPoint document or start a slide show.
